Just a quick update for you all on the adoption process. I know I have not posted anything in a while and I apologize. I have worked so much overtime in the past month, and our Uncle Ken has been in and out of the hospital so much, that I have not had much time to sit down and keep you all up-to-date.
We are in the homestretch of the homestudy process. We have our auto-biographies basically done, the intro (dear birth-mother) letter just needs some finishing touches, I finally got the photo-collage finished up, and we (Josh) put together our escape route form. If we keep up the pace, get all that approved, printed and mailed off, I anticipate that we will be in the pool of waiting families by the end of this month or early next month.
Still debating on whether or not to do the video intro that would be posted on Open Adoption and Family Services website. I hate being in front of cameras... Josh thinks it is a good idea and I agree, I just really do not like the way I look on film... We shall see what happens. Hope this gets you all up-to-date and keeps you informed on what is going on.
We are getting closer to the time when we sit back and wait to be chosen. Exciting! But still nerve wracking, waiting is so not easy! Striving for patience and peace of mind. I do know that, even though I get antsy at times, the waiting will only be as long as God desires it should be. I know He has a plan and it will all come together in His perfect time.
