To Great Friends

After my last blog post I wanted to thank all of you that said you would be a surrogate for me and Josh. I never knew that there would be so many women willing to carry our child. I am humbled and grateful for you ladies!

It is not an easy decision to make to carry another persons child, going through all the body changes, the discomfort and of course the bonding that occurs when a woman is pregnant. To know that there some wonderful women out there that would go through all that without hesitation in order to give the gift of a child to me and my husband is unreal.

I had asked so many people if they would be willing to do so early on when I found I couldn't have children and had been told no so much that I think I just gave up looking.  So imagine me shock and surprise when I had almost half a dozen wonderful women say they would carry a child for me if at all possible.

Maybe someday, if we have the funds, we will be contacting one of you to see if that willingness stands. I know that it a long drawn out process with lots of appointments with fertility specialists and comes with many risks and no guarantees of success. But, if God opens that door for us to at least attempt it, I know He will bless it!

Again, thank you to my wonderful friends that said you would be a surrogate for us, you know who you are! You ladies are blessings in my life and I thank God for each of you!

As iron sharpens iron, so friends sharpen friends. Proverbs 27:17

When we consider the blessings of God - the gifts that add beauty to our lives, that enable us to keep going through stretches of boredom and even suffering - friendship is very near the top.
