Well, it's November. The month to express thanks for all our blessings, big and small. Which of course makes it an extra special month of thanksgiving for us here in the Rush household. The 8th of this month, at 9:26 pm, marked 1 year, 1 glorious, extra special, love filled, year with our Emma Love. I can't believe how fast this year flew by. It really does not seem longer than a few weeks since we first laid eyes on Emma's sweet angel face. In the time it took to blink, she went from delicate, cuddly newborn, to precious, busy toddler. I am so grateful for so very much, and all because she is in my life.
Yes, I will be posting things daily that I am thankful for, and most of them will probably revolve around motherhood. Open Adoption, poopy diapers (yes, a year later and I am still thankful for them,) snuggling, laughter, late nights, early mornings, slobbery kisses, precious hugs, hearing "mama" come from her sweet bow lips, holding hands as she walks, new words, the adorable way her nose crinkles as she learns to smell the flowers, even the tantrums that she is learning to throw (I find I have a hard time not laughing when she starts throwing a hissy fit... I know, I know, I need to stop laughing and ignore them altogether, but it is sooo hard to do!)
She is growing in so many ways, and all too fast for mama! I love watching her learn, try new things, accomplish a new trick, and soak up the world around her. She wants to learn, wants to know what everything is, who everyone is, what sounds things make, and how everything works. She asks questions and mimics what mommy and daddy do and say. (Must watch my words ALL the time now...)
Motherhood is amazing! I can;t wait to see what Emma will accomplish next!
